THE SPORTY M DESIGN OF THE BMW M5 COMPETITION.

Discover the characteristic BMW M5 Competition design with the highlights of the exterior and interior.

A central design feature in the front of the BMW M5 Competition is the redesigned M kidney grille with a single-piece frame in black high-gloss. Three-dimensional double slats, also in black high-gloss, and a black M5 Competition emblem complete the distinctive design – dynamically supplemented by the remodelled narrow light tubes leading towards the kidney grille. In an interplay with the remodelled front apron featuring central air inlet in mesh design and two large side air shafts, they reveal the performance potential of the BMW M5 Competition at first glance. The updated rear design of the BMW M5 Competition is defined by darker three-dimensional rear lights and a powerful rear apron with two twin tailpipes typical of M vehicles. The outstanding athleticism of the vehicle is also reflected in the driver-oriented cockpit: from the M leather steering wheel via the new 12.3″ Control Display through to the M Multifunctional seats with illuminated M5 logo, the appearance of the interior is sporty and exclusive in equal measure.

The BMW M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine of the BMW M5 Competition is the most powerful motor that BMW M GmbH has ever developed for a series production vehicle. The 460 kW (625 hp) 4.4-litre power unit impresses with its direct and rapid response, linear performance characteristics and a constantly high torque even at low revs. Equipped with high-pressure direct injection, two highly dynamic TwinScroll turbochargers and a cross-bank exhaust manifold, the weight optimised high-performance power unit sets clear signals both on the road and on the race track: 750 Nm of torque, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.8 seconds.
